About Us
Welcome to EUP Connections! Please utilize this website as a resource tool to help locate agencies and programs that can assist your family.
The Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District and Great Start Collaborative have worked hard over the years to establish cooperative partnerships with school districts, community agencies, local businesses, and philanthropic groups. Our intent with this project is to improve linkages to families with children birth to five who are most difficult to engage in community supports by increasing coordination, access, and awareness of available resources.
The Early Childhood System in the Eastern Upper Peninsula is complex. There are numerous programs and services designed to assist families with medical, educational, mental health, childcare, and basic needs. These programs and supports are operated by a number of different agencies, resulting in various eligibility and funding differences. It is nearly impossible for one organization to understand or meet the diverse needs of the entire early childhood system.
Complex systems are often cumbersome and difficult to navigate for parents, resulting in parents being unaware of available services or not being able to access appropriate supports in times of need because they are unsure of where to turn.
With the help of our participating local agencies and Clinton County RESA, we have developed a simple intake form and search for families to locate and be in contact with local programs that fit the needs of their families. This "one-stop" approach to find program and services will better assist families in times of need.
Our Navigators from local agencies will follow up with families once an Interest Form is received for that corresponding agency. The agency then will be able to assist the family in applying for necessary programs or help locate a different program that would better suite the needs of the family.
