B.E.S.T. is a non profit, community coalition totally run by volunteers. The coalition is devoted to providing breastfeeding help and education as well as improving breastfeeding services in the tri-county area. The Breastfeeding Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week including weekends and holidays. This is a  service that can provide a wide variety of expert breastfeeding help and support. Moms or others can text and/or call the number and speak to a board certified lactation consultant. The coalition can also provide a free lactation consultant visit to any one in need. B.E.S.T. has a breastfeeding mothers support group called the Milky Way that meets once a month. Breastfeeding information and support can also be found on facebook at the 2 sites as follows:  Chippewa county breastfeeding education and support team and BEST breastfeeding support group.  

The B.E.S.T. meeting is held the second Monday of every month at the Avery Center Atrium from 12-1 pm in Sault Ste Marie, MI. The Avery Center is located at 508 Ashmun St in Sault Ste Marie.
