VITA/AARP Tax Aide

This program allows free tax prep for seniors and low income clients. We coordinate it for the entire EUP. Chippewa clients are served by LSSU students while Mackinac and Luce Co. residents are served by a handful of local tax prep volunteers. We serve an average of 150 people per year across our three counties. Through this programming, we help return $150,000, on average, to our community each tax year. Seniors over the age of 60, and households making less than $54,000/year are eligible for appointments. For more information, or to schedule an appointment for January through March.
